Let me start off by saying I have never heard an Uncle Murda song that wasn’t a yearly Rap Up. So it was very hard to get into this album without feeling like it was a gimmick. Especially when the first song his titled Justin LA Boy. and has the exact same flow as all of the previous Rap Up’s. So I made sure to listen to this album twice before giving it a review.
Like I previously stated the project opens up with a song called Justin La Boy Page. we barely know who this guy is, but we know who he is, respectfully. Justin LA Boy is apopular twitter account that women fell in love with because he would always post something in favor of women. He’s the Kevin Samuels for women. As bad as I want to give more details on who he isthis isn’t about him. On the track Murda can be heard detailing a falling out between him and his woman and he knew it was because she was on his twitter page earlier that day.
Another song that really caught me was “Babymother” and this song so disrespectful and its my favorite. On this song he raps about knowing ya babies mom and doing more things for her than you ever could. including buying ya son and him matching Jordans. It’s so disrespectful he says he treats ya son like a little brother instead of a step son.
There were so many songs that caught me the 2nd time around but the one that caught me the first time was “In her Mouth”. this song features a sample that I haven’t heard since I was kid. A song I had no business listening to but this is why I would rather rather ride with my dad instead of my mom back then. Put It in Your Mouth was a single on the Put It in Your Mouth EP released by emcee Akinyele. Featuring Kia Jefferies, it was released on August 13, 1996, on Zoo Entertainment‘s sub-label Stress Entertainment and was produced by Chris Forte, Frankie Cutlass, DJ Enuff, Jiv Pos, Dr. Butcher and EZ Elpee. Murda did his thing on that track making his version just as meorable as the original.
I truly enjoyed listening to this album. I do not believe it has any replay value unless i find myself beefing with my side chicks baby father but he did end the project with a 2021 yearly Rap Up. Good shxt Murda.
