When you mention the world’s most recognizable Rap/Hip-Hop giants, Snoop Dogg is  top 5 hands down. For 3 decades Snoop has made his presence known in almost every avenue you can think of from Rap; to cooking shows, to the big screen and everything in between. To most he’s probably most notably known for being a heavy hitting marijuana connoisseur. Generation X knows little to nothing about when Uncle Snoop first came bursting on the scene in 1993 with his first critically acclaimed album “Doggystyle” on Death Row Records. At the time the iconic West Coast label was under the ownership of Suge Knight. While under the ownership of Suge Knight, Death Row Records had the lineup that officially put the West Coast stamp on the Rap/Hip-Hop game. Tupac; Dr. Dre., Warren G, Michel’le, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, and The Dogg Pound just to name a few can all attribute their success to Death Row Records.

Snoop’s “Doggystyle” debut would see to have an opening week of over 800,000 units sold in sales. A huge feat considering the release was during a time when Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc. didn’t exist. Now three decades later on the heels of Dr. Dre’s 30th anniversary of “The Chronic”, Snoop Dogg releases “B.O.D.R.” (Bacc On Death Row). Only this time the West Coast legend has the label Death Row Records under his belt (hence the album title). Fresh off of a legendary Super Bowl performance alongside Mary J. Blige; Dr. Dre and his heavy hitting lineup including Eminem, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar we’ve been able to witness everything come full circle for Snoop D-o-double-g. Expounding and dominating in every avenue he’s dabbled in, he bares witness that there is Life after Death Row.
