If we take look into Rap Cap and Kickstory (History) we recall Nike sticking to monochromatic colorways on most, if not all iterations of the Air Galaxy 1 and Air Glaxy Pro. This would be the first time Nike would add imagery of a more creative source. The “Galaxy” Foams stirred up mass hysteria nationwide as mall stores and chain retailers were overwhelmed by a barrage of sneakerheads desperate for a pair. This volatile day in sneaker history contributed to Nike transitioning the sneaker release experience exclusively digital, ending the sneaker campout for the foreseeable future.
