Yesterday Gunna released “Drip Season 4Ever” and before I could even listen to it I saw nothing but bad reviews from fellow facebook friends. So I immediately paused my EST Gee in the gym to check out Gunna’s fourth installment to his Drip Season franchise.

First thing I noticed was the sigature drip Season 3 sound. Simple catchy flows over Weezy beats. The project also features production from Metro, Southside, Mike Will, Turbo and more. Complete with features from Future, Thugger, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, G Herbo, Kodak Black, Roddy Ricch, Young Beu and even Chloe Bailey. The features were very memorable and did not outshine Gunna at all. Its been so long since I heard a good punchline and 21 Savage delivered. “Dump his glock like Ye did Kim” had me in the gym dying laughing. The second song featuring Future entitled “Too Easy” gave us that signature flow from Gunna and Future. I wasn’t sure if I was listening to Drip season 4 or The WZRD. But honestly as much as I loved everything I was hearing the only song I ran back twice was “You and Me” featuring Hailey Bailey. This was beautifully crafted. They honored two legendary songs. The two of them can be heard harmonizing Jon B’s “They Dont Know” and Gunna finds a way to sneak in Ushers “Nice and Slow” “Ill freak you right I will” sequence and the whole experience is so nostalgic.

It’s projects like this that make doing reviews hard becuase I know ill be stuck on this album and may not give another project the true chance it deserves to be heard right. There are plenty of times an album doesn’t cacth me until months after the drop. This isn’t one of those albums. As I stated before I was in the gym vibing with a whole different project and was able to still get into this. And I dont even like listening to new music in the gym becuase usually I need something I know can put me in my zone. If you haven’t heard it check it out for yourself below.
