2024 Jordan Brand will celebrate its 30th year anniversary for the 9th edition of the Air Jordan signature sneaker line. 14 years after its first retro release, the Air Jordan 9 ‘Powder Blue’ will return for the celebration.
Also branded as the ‘Dark Powder Blue’, which originally released in 1994, it was retro’d in 2010 with a slightly lighter tone of blue to pay homage to the Jump Mans alma matter The University of North Carolina. The retro release also featured #23 branding on the heels, whereas the OG release did not.
This Air Jordan 9 is rumored to return constructed in its OG form. Midsoles are crafted in ‘Powder Blue’ under white leather uppers, with its signature stitching on the panels. Black appears on the tongue, eyelets, liner, Jumpman on the midsole, and heel pull loops.
You can expect these to return to shelves at select retailers as well as Nike.com during Nikes spring 2024 lineup. Stay tuned as we update you along the way.
