According to the New York Post, 12 men associated with Pop Smokes Brooklyn Woo Gang were taken into custody for allegedly stealing $4.9 million in COVID-19 unemployment relief funds.

The gang is accused of using 800 different peoples peronsal information including drivers license numbers to submit unemployment claims worth 20 million.

The Eastern District Attorneys Office of New York City claims the gang used funds to buy expensive gifts and flash racks of money in a music video called “Trappin” which is now being used as a piece of evidence.

Federal prosecutors purportedly caught the Woo Gang for referencing their fraudulent multi-million dollar activities in the lyrics of the song, which includes the line “Unemployment got us working a lot.”
